Introduction
I'm a multimedia journalist at CNN.com who moved to Atlanta in early 2008. I love Web design and development, and I'd like to keep up with those interests.
What do you hope to get from joining this group?

What is your primary role? Designer? Developer? Both?
So far I've been more of a designer, obsessing over grids and typography, and I'm well-versed in XHTML and CSS. But I'd like to learn how to build Web applications, so I'm slowly falling in love with Django.
How long have you been working on the Web?
I taught myself HTML in middle school more than a decade ago. At the University of Florida, I thought I wanted to study computer science until I took calculus and physics. I switched to online journalism and never looked back.
